Improving Online Collaboration
Endorsed by Leading Experts
Welcome to our Institute!
Our journey began in 2022, when various experts in online collaboration came together to define what makes great online work and interaction.
Together, we created the Online Collaboration Manifesto.
In the following year, many peopleand organisations shared that while they want to get better at online and hybrid work and engagement, it is hard to know where to start.
There are so many online tips, tools and support. Which are best? Which ones are independent?
We created an institute, that recommends the best, curated by experts (our members). The recommendations are independent. People and organisations don’t pay the institute for their recommendations.
Our mission
The Institute’s mission is for the world to experience joyous and effective online collaboration.
How? The institute offers independent recommendations, curated by global experts. We are guided by the Online Collaboration Manifesto.
We, and our expert members, are dedicated to enhancing online experiences, making them more ‘human’ and impactful. Our mission is simple: to elevate online collaboration to new heights.
Our Core Values
Impartiality: Products or services recommended by the institute do not pay any fee for their endorsement. The recommendations are purely based on the expert members’ evaluation of the value that the product or service brings to online collaboration.
Independence: The members of the institute are independent, with no membership fee required.
Expertise: The institute comprises leading experts in online collaboration. Membership is granted only when a majority of existing members vote to endorse a product or service as outstanding and aligned with the institute’s manifesto.
How We Operate
Every week, our expert members convene to nominate outstanding services, products, and courses that transcend the ordinary. Through a democratic process, each recommendation undergoes rigorous evaluation to ensure it meets our stringent standards.
Income
You may wonder how the institute generates income. As a not-for-profit initiative, the institute aims to cover its costs and investments through potentially several means:
Hosting an annual ceremony (online of course).
Over time, incorporating affiliate links for those recommendations that opt for this service.
Providing customised, independent advice on the products or services that organisations might utilise to enhance online collaboration.
This approach ensures the institute’s sustainability while maintaining its commitment to impartiality and independence.
Members nominate products or services that deliver virtual first to the highest standard
Members vote on nominations
Organisations of these recommended products or services can put forward a representative to become a member
The product or service receives a recommendation from the institute
The team that makes it tick
Step into the world of online collaboration with confidence guided by the expertise of our esteemed members. They’re the experts in the online collaboration space, and are architects of great online work.
